Feeding Raw on a Budget (Yes, it’s possible)

Feeding Raw on a Budget (Yes, it’s possible)

There’s a strange myth floating around (like a bad kibble-induced fart) that feeding raw means remortgaging the house, cancelling Christmas, and explaining to your dog why they now only eat on special occasions.

It’s nonsense.

Raw feeding isn’t necessarily expensive.
Overcomplicating it is.

Dogs don’t need a weekly tasting menu.
(They might like one, to be fair.)

They need meat.

That’s it.

Somewhere along the way, raw got dressed up with:

“bespoke meal plans”
“superfood blends”
and ingredients you or your dog couldn’t pronounce (even if they could talk)

Meanwhile your dog’s sat there thinking:
“This could’ve just been meat.”

Here’s the simple version:

Feed meat.
Feed the right amount.
Don’t overthink it.

If you want to add natural supplements too - go for it - that can help but you don't necessarily have to!

And yes, it can be affordable

Our Meat for Dogs range is:

  • £1.75 per pack
  • 450g per pack
  • Just meat. Nothing weird.

That’s proper raw food, at a price that doesn’t make you wince at the checkout.

No fillers.
No fluff.
No pretending lentils are a good protein for dogs.

The bit no one puts on the front of the bag

Cheap  ultra-processed food isn’t always cheap.

It just looks cheap at the time.

Because the real cost shows up later.

Skin issues.
Digestive problems.
Endless scratching.
Dull coats.
Bad teeth.

And suddenly you’re stood at the vet, wondering how a “cheap” bag of food turned into a £200 bill.

Funny how that works.

There’s growing concern around ultra-processed pet foods being linked to things like inflammation, obesity, and ongoing health issues . And while no one’s pretending food is the only factor, it’s a pretty big one.

Put simply:

What goes in… shows up later.

The false economy

You save a few quid on food…
Then spend it (and more) trying to fix the consequences.

It’s the same logic as eating nothing but takeaway and acting surprised when your body starts complaining.

Except your dog doesn’t get a say in it.

Keep it simple

You don’t need to spend a fortune.
You don’t need to overthink it.
You don’t need a spreadsheet.

You just need to feed food that actually looks like food.

The real question isn’t “can I afford raw?”

It’s:

Why are we spending good money on ultra-processed pellets and calling it a bargain?

Feed real food.
Keep it simple.
Stop overthinking it.

Your dog certainly isn’t.
